Learn about your General

about me

I’m thrilled you are here! Let’s get to know each other.  So who am I?

There are lots of layers behind who I am.  Often times people want to know who you are by asking what you do to create income.  Ladies and gentleman, I no longer generate income so you’ll have to get to know me beyond the paycheck.  I am a full time mama. It’s the best “job” I’ve ever had.  And I’m one of those people that has had every odd job under the sun.  I married my high school sweetheart.  He is my better half and the voice of reason I’m so thankful I have in my life. You’ll learn how supportive he has been in everything I do. Together we have a pit-bull named Dante. He loves to snuggle and makes it really hard for me to get out of bed in the morning. And let’s just say I’m not a morning person to begin with. I can’t talk to you if I haven’t had coffee. Prior to not getting paid I had a career in the event industry.  You could say I love to celebrate the sh*t out of everything.  Have no fear, there will be a “BOOB VOYAGE” before my big day.

I’m one of those open-hearted do-ers. I make lists all the time and feel so much satisfaction crossing things off.  I send my friends snail mail.  I LOVE CARDS.  I have cards on hand for almost every occasion.  I love my family.  Sometimes too much.  My sisters have always been my best friends, even if I’m significantly older than them. When you are my friend, you are a part of my family.  I have the gift to gab (hence the long winded posts). I admire thoughtful details, collect sprinkles and love linen napkins.

I’m a multi-passionate person. If I’m enthusiastic about something… everyone from Stoneham to China finds out about it.  I feel bad for you if you were around when I discovered the Vitamix.  And with passion comes my ability to be persuasive.  You could say I was born into a sales household and had innate skills. When I was 6, I negotiated a piano for $150. Some might describe me as…relentless.  And lastly, I cannot be surprised.  Trust me. Many have tried.  But I’m nuts and you can’t pull one past me.

I believe in always working toward becoming a better person.  We all have stuff we need to work on.  Right now I have a few things I’m focusing on. I’m working on my physical strength.  Working out just makes me feel so good.  It’s addictive. I’m also working on my spirituality, it’s such an important piece that I’ve never put energy into. And here is a big thing I’m working on… I’m sensitive. I tend to take things personally, so if you don’t have something nice to say about my blog, WARNING: I WILL DWELL ON IT.  But, I’m learning to let things go. What are you working on?

By following me on my journey you can expect my stories to be true to my voice and very colorful.  I have to confess, I tend to swear like a truck driver when I get emotional, you could say I’m working on that too. If you are prim and proper, then I’m sure you won’t enjoy my authentic flavor.  So if you see a few “f-bombs” just say, “Oh that’s just Kristina..isn’t she colorful!”  I hope to provide you a detailed description of my personal experience.  You’ve heard a lot about this gene mutation on the news from various celebrities. I’m a real life woman giving you insight on my specific journey.  I hope you find some comfort in my words.  Whether you are concerned about me and my journey or you yourself are wondering your own risk, together we are going to enjoy life and embrace the good with the bad.  This is WAR and war isn’t pretty, so if you don’t want to see what this kind of journey truly entails please keep in mind this is my personal experience.  Everyone’s journey is different. I am not a medical expert, but I hope to educate you with as much integrity as possible. I’m sure you can tell I’m really green on the blogosphere so I ask you to be kind, supportive and patient with me.

Sometimes I feel like you can get a good sense of someone by their bucket list.  So I’ll share a few of the things I would love to make happen someday. But before I do, I want you to know you inspire me.  You are the reason I’m sharing.  I’m so glad you are reading my blog.  It makes me really happy you have decided to come along for this ride. Joy is contagious.  If I were with you right now and I could witness you reading my words… you need to know that I’m the type of person that would hug you and say “sooooooo, what do you think?” Don’t be a stranger. I appreciate you and I want you to know it! Introduce yourself or reintroduce yourself. Or continue stalking my journey silently.

As promised, a window to my bucket list:
